Manipulation and Mobilisation Therapy

A warm welcome to Spinal Wellness Clinic                                                  Live a Healthy Lifestyle On Purpose!

Beatrice Iten is the Owner and Founder of Spinal Wellness Clinic and a Board Certified Holistic Medicine Practitioner. Beatrice believes in the power of preventative care and wellness for body, mind, and soul using the many gifts the Universe has to offer us. She began her formal education in Holistic Medicine almost a decade ago, and has been in business for herself for the past 7 years, also as co-owner of Thame Chiropractic Clinic in Oxfordshire.

All therapies work to relieve pain caused by muscular skeletal issues. However, many therapists have become indoctrinate believing that only their methods can resolve the issues causing their pain. I use a variety of manual therapy methods, I believe in using the best aspects of all forms of therapy, whether that is:

  • Spinal Manipulation and Joint Mobilisation
  • Applied Kinesiology AK
  • Kinesiology Touch for Health TFHK
  • Soft Tissue Techniques (Myofascial release)
  • Cranio Sacral Therapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Exercise Therapy

Beatrice is skilled in diversified technique (firm adjustments), joint mobilisation (gentler adjustments without popping), ischaemic compression (targeted deep tissue therapy), muscle energy techniques (to balance muscles), Applied Kinesiology (for stress related disorders, inflammatory disorders, chemical intolerances and gastrointestinal disorders issues), traction (to decompress and to boost disc circulation), as well as posture and exercise advice (core muscle neuromotor control training). Working together, you will be able to find the best approach for you to prevent and/or recover from injury or discomfort. My therapy can be arranged as you require them or on a regular basis as a preventative measure.

As a Holistic Medicine Practitioner I understand and treat the whole body as a complex integrated unit, where one dysfunction can set off a series of compensations which often trigger pain and dysfunction elsewhere. It is a unique combination of different therapy techniques designed to remove pain and restore mobility whilst working in harmony with the complexities of the human body.

I aim to work out the cause of the pain rather than just treating the presenting symptoms; this may involve using therapy techniques from a variety of manual therapy disciplines. Ultimately, I place emphasis on advising the client on how to self-manage their condition; through re-education of movement patterns to improve posture and appropriate strengthening or stretching exercises.
